Valkstone Primary School

Education Melbourne introduces Valkstone Primary School in Bentleigh East, for all your education and learning needs.

Valkstone continues to grow both in population and facilities. The school has 27.8 equivalent full time staff: two Principal class leaders, twenty-eight teachers and six Education Support Staff. Twenty classes are conducted in upgraded facilities with extensive ICT resources; one computer per three children and interactive whiteboards in all classrooms, the Library, Music and LOTE rooms.

In Term 4 the new Multi purpose Centre was completed, comprising a full sized basketball stadium, a music room, kitchen and large foyer that is partitioned and used full time as a LOTE- Japanese classroom.

New outdoor basketball and netball courts add to the sporting facilities. Our strong commitment to student learning and wellbeing is supported by team planning and extensive professional learning for all staff. The Leadership Team is involved with the Bastow Institute programs and SaGE Network curriculum development. The Strategic Plan anfd Annual Implementation Plan focus on continual improvement in English and Maths.
