The senior campus of the College looks down upon the Yarra River at its confluence with Gardiner’s Creek. It was on this site in February 1803 that one of the first recorded landings by Europeans in what has become Melbourne was recorded. Here today stands the Chapel of St Kevin, a centre of prayer and worship at the College.

Heyington is the home for secondary students other than Year 9. The first years of secondary education are crucial in engaging boys in a confident way with their schooling. They are helped to quickly adapt to becoming full members of the College and committed young students. The caring Tutors, the leadership of senior students, the extensive co-curricular program, all complement a balanced academic program which gives young Kevinians a wonderful preparation for their later schooling.

The senior students in Years 10 – 12 are members of House Tutor Groups. Each boy is in the continuous care of a Tutor and House Head for these 3 years. The stimulating academic program enables senior students to achieve with distinction at VCE. Again, academics are supplemented by a wide range of musical, dramatic and sporting co-curricular activities. Senior boys have many opportunities for leadership.

The College ovals provide a popular venue for physical education and lunchtime recreation as well as a venue for APS competition and training. The many extensive teaching facilities, computer rooms, library, theatre and hall support the teaching and learning program. The immediate proximity of Heyington Station makes this campus readily accessible to all parts of Melbourne
